Is anyone else tired of the endless hype surrounding AI in the hospitality industry? At the recent HITEC conference, over 6,000 executives gathered to discuss whether their hefty investments in AI are actually paying off. Spoiler alert: they're not! We’ve been promised innovation and efficiency, yet what we see is a chaotic mess of over-promised tech that seems more like a money pit than a solution.
I've experienced the frustrations of poorly implemented tech firsthand—broken systems, lost reservations, and customer service bots that can’t even understand the simplest requests. It's time we demand real results and stop settling for mediocrity! The industry must wake up and realize that throwing money at AI won't magically solve their problems.
Let’s hold these companies accountable and push for the change we really need!
